Subes 70 pisos en un ascensor de alta velocidad, y en cuestión de segundos te puedes encontrar con esta vista impresionante de Manhattan.<br />Esto es lo que buscaba. He tomado aproximadamente 2.000 fotos. Apenas llegue' y compartí con algunos colegas, tuve un primer 'contacto con la realidad'. Fotógrafos extraordinarios de los que he aprendido y me han inspirado. Re-evalué mi nivel como profesional, llegue' a abrazar la frustración en ocasiones, pero al final de todo, logre' un crecimiento y nutrirme como nunca antes, de experiencias y nuevas visiones. Los resultados de este viaje los iré sacando a la luz poco a poco. Primero no me lo podía creer: Leica, digital, full frame, objetivo Summarit 35mm f'2.5, todo suena demasiado bueno para ser real, luego dude' un poco, pues tendría que aprender rápidamente el proceso de encuadrar, enfocar y disparar con una rangefinder, lo cual era nuevo para mi. Pero siempre vale la pena intentar. <br />Lo primero que te viene a la mente cuando agarras una de éstas, es lo pesadas y sólidas que son. Automáticamente sabes que lo que tienes en las manos no es un juguete. La idea general del proyecto fue retratar una serie de féminas de distintas edades, y mediante el maquillaje y estilismo enfatizar el hecho de que la belleza no tiene horario, ni fecha en el calendario, como diría Simón Diaz. Adicionalmente, Alessandra hizo algunos make-ups conceptuales que les iré mostrando en otros posts. Las entradas cada vez han sido menos frecuentes, y eso es motivado en parte a todo el proceso que tengo que pasar para hacerlas. La verdad sea dicha, la interface de fotos de blogger es de calidad pobre. En mi caso, para que las imagenes cumplan con un estandar, las enlazo desde una cuenta de flickr lo cual es todo un proceso de copiar y pegar html. Me consume tiempo preciado y me quita las ganas de postear.<br />Si blogger mejorara eso, con gusto volvería. Pero por lo pronto me mudo a Tumblr. En general me gustó más el "feeling". Blogger ES anticuado. Tremendo concierto y con plena libertad para moverme antes y durante el show. Fordelucs como siempre excelente y con pleno apoyo del público. Durante su presentacion estuve "revoloteando" detras de tarima mas que todo. Luego vi todo el concierto de caramelos desde el público. Muy bueno, tocaron unas cuantas canciones de Harakiry City, uno de mis discos preferidos. Recuerdo que existía una página (ahora extinta), llamada <span style="font-style: italic;">musica.com.ve</span>, que tenía disponible una envidiable (para ese tiempo) cantidad de material de bandas nacionales que se movían por el underground. Alli ví el nombre de Ohmio y bajé las tres canciones que había: <span style="font-style: italic;">Plástico, Espacio Electrificado y Electrocardiograma</span>. Hoy sentí una especie de "Deja Vu" cuando las volví a escuchar en vivo. Y pensé que si bien mi lugar de trabajo ha cambiado, la banda sonora sigue siendo el rock. Justo en el momento que dije, "aqui no hay nada interesante",se me ocurre ver hacia abajo y me doy cuenta que hay orugas por todos lados. Con solo ver los colores supe que por simple precaución, lo mas recomendable sería NO TOCAR. Luego, revisando en wikipedia, averigué que esta es la oruga de la mariposa monarca, u "oruga tigre", y mi suposición no estaba muy lejos de la realidad: sus colores son una advertencia para los depredadores, pues la planta de la que se alimenta contiene grandes cantidades de alcaloides que son absorbidos por la oruga y la hacen tóxica y por lo tanto "incomible". Recuerdo claramente la primera sesión con ellos en el 2007. La banda estaba apenas naciendo. En todo este tiempo bastante hemos recorrido, ellos como banda y yo como fotógrafo, pero siempre coincidiendo en nuestras propuestas, musical y visual. Por eso, ver mi trabajo formando parte de la imagen de su primer larga duración, es doble satisfacción para mi persona. Aparte, musicalmente hablando y dejando a un lado todo tipo de subjetividad, este disco está entre lo mejor que ha parido el rock hecho en Venezuela. Hace unos dos años comenté en este mismo blog, que pensaba que esta banda iba a dar de que hablar, y veo que estaba en lo cierto.<br /></div>A los Fordelucs, mis felicitaciones. Que siga el éxito. Y nos vemos este jueves, en el Showcase. Este fin de semana ha sido divertido, agotador y "acabatrapo", de modo que el primer momento de verdadera tranquilidad lo estoy teniendo en este instante, por primera vez en todo el viaje. Abro mi carpa, y veo que el sol apenas empieza a mostrarse por sobre la montaña. Estoy dejando una huella.<br /><br />Por otro lado, es triste que exista tanta gente en el mundo, que pasa por él, pero no le deja nada. Me parece lo más triste del mundo. El mundo sería un lugar mejor, si todos y cada uno de nosotros le dejara algo durante nuestra existencia. Por eso te digo: PIENSA , ¿ qué te gustaría hacer que no has hecho?, ¿ Donde están tus huellas?, ¿ Si te mueres HOY, qué parte de tí le estás dejando al mundo?<br />Si te has hecho esas preguntas, pero las respuestas no te satisfacen, deberías entrar en <span style="font-weight: bold;">acción</span>. Es lo que un podría llamar una casa con historia. Claro, sólo nos contaron la oficial, aunque apuesto que debe haber muchos mas relatos interesantes relacionados con la misma. En todo caso, todos coincidieron en que la atmosfera que se respira es particular por decir lo menos. El patio, eso si que era otro nivel. Habían sillas que me parece que nadie se ha sentado en ellas en décadas. El cual es tal y como debe ser un local de este tipo. Ruidoso, oscuro y sin adornos superfluos.<br />Abriendo la noche, la banda caraqueña Barbara Victoria. Poco después, los Tomates se apoderaron del local, y de broma se lo llevan para su casa. Intensidad total, un camión pues. Hasta trozos de baquetas salían volando de la tarima. Sé que l@s Caraqueñ@s se lo tripearon, las caras de las niñas presentes, coreando las canciones en éxtasis, eran un poema. Pero esas imágenes me las reservo. ;)<br />Despues del concierto seguí la noche como es de esperarse, con bastante ingesta alcohólica, excelentes compañias (sí, en plural) y cero horas de sueño. Sucre, recorriendo muchos pueblos y caseríos. Entrando en contacto con las maravillas naturales de Venezuela, y con sus contradicciones. Tenemos todo para ser una potencia turística, pero parece que no existe la voluntad de llevarlo a la realidad. Me sorprendio de la peor manera encontrar bastantes desperdicios en chaguarama. Puy puy estaba un poco mejor, pero podría estar mucho mas limpia, con un poco de conciencia por parte de todos los que la disfrutamos. Que bueno sería que éstas y otras playas en similar estado fueran conservadas de una manera inteligente y sustentable. Para la mayoría de las personas, es el evento mas importante de sus vidas. No me incluyo en ese grupo, sin embargo respeto mucho esa noción, y basado en ese respeto, pongo el 150% de empeño y dedicación en el trabajo encomendado.<br />Suena cliché pero hay momentos que ocurren solamente una vez y uno tiene que estar alli preparado para registrarlos. La entrada de la novia, los anillos, el beso, la salida de la iglesia, el brindis, el vals, etc. Es extenuante física y mentalmente, pero paga ;)<br />Felicidades a Crisver y Jesus en el camino que han decidido transitar juntos. Oyá, aparte de ser la Deidad de los huracanes y temporales, también representa la Divinidad de la Muerte, asi que la locacion no podía ser otra que el cementerio de Barcelona.
